Grade 5/6 students went off to camp with a little apprehension, and not nearly enough beanies and warm socks! They came back seasoned warriors, with a tough ‘can-do’ attitude!
What an awesome time! We went canoeing in the rain, building huts in the mist, Team Challenges and Initiatives where we had to work as a team and come together to get across our obstacles (obstacles like really wet, cold ponds!). We climbed up the big hill to zip line down on the Flying fox, and were hurtled out the side of a mountain on the Giant swing. A night walk, we learnt about our solar system in the Southern Hemisphere, saw the spectacular milky way and had a beautiful Mass around the campfire with toasted marshmallows. What more could we ask for? A well deserved holiday break!
