This week, our Year 6 students had the opportunity This week, our Year 6 students had the opportunity to experience a day at Western Port Secondary College.

They loved getting a glimpse into high school life – exploring new spaces, meeting staff, and discovering what a typical day looks like. It was a wonderful experience that helped build excitement and confidence as they begin to think about their next step beyond St Mary’s. It was even a chance to connect to past friends who are now in Year 7!

A heartfelt thank you to the students, staff, and A heartfelt thank you to the students, staff, and families who joined us at the Womin Djeka Festival in Balnarring . It was wonderful to see so many from our St Mary’s community come together to support, honour, and celebrate First Peoples cultures.
Our students did an amazing job contributing to our stall through their Permaculture lessons, showing respect, understanding, and actively listening to and learning from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stories, traditions, and cultures.
Highlights from some of our junior school students:
Celeste: A highlight was seeing my Iilk, and my brother’s and sister’s artwork.
Apollo: My favourite part was when I got to colour in a boomerang with paint pens with Oliver.
Ace: I liked colouring in my boomerang and playing with my clay.
William: My highlight was seeing Evie and doing the spear throwing.
Maci: I liked seeing my bundjil best!
Aubrey: I liked making my boomerang, going on the playground and seeing my friends.
