At St Mary’s we value our outdoor learning environment and over the past few years have developed some new nature based play and learning spaces. We engaged a renowned nature based play designer who worked closely with our students and staff to plan and design these spaces. Students planted out the areas and know why certain plants were used and how to care for them. Our indoor courtyard has been designed as an outdoor learning area and wellbeing zone. The outdoor play space allows for children to play, explore, challenge and enjoy being in the outdoors. We are finalising some all weather shading to further utilise the outdoor area as an outdoor classroom.
